Does the Formula Pro Advanced use boiling water?

No, the Formula Pro Advanced does not use boiling water. The water tank should be filled with bottled water suitable for infant formula preparation, or pre-boiled water, cooled to room temperature (45°C or below). You can then choose the temperature of the milk that is prepared, from room temperature, body temperature or slightly warmer than body temperature.

Does the Formula Pro Advanced use boiled water?

No, the Formula Pro doesn’t use boiled water. It allows you to set the water temperature to one of three temperatures (room temp, body temp, warmer than body temp). We recommend that you use sterile water or use cooled pre-boiled water with the Formula Pro. As a precaution, always check the temperature of formula milk before feeding your baby.

How do I change between ML/OZ on my Formula Pro Advanced?

You can change between ML and OZ. Hold down the ML button for 7 seconds until you see the change.

How do I change the water temperature on my Formula Pro Advanced?

When turned on, the machine is set to body temperature by default. This can be changed with the use of the temperature button. If you want to make the water temperature slightly warmer than body temperature, press the temperature button once. If you want to make the water temperature to room temperature settings, press the temperature button once again Press the temperature button again to set it back to body temperature.

How do I descale my Formula Pro Advanced?

Descale your Formula Pro Advanced at least once a month to prevent build-up by following these steps.

How should I be cleaning my Formula Pro Advanced?

• It is extremely important to clean the funnel after every 4 bottles, this will keep your Formula Pro dispensing accurately.
• Remove funnel and funnel cover by pulling out and down.
• You do not need to remove the powder container or the powder container parts for daily cleaning.Wash the funnel and funnel cover with hot soapy water and rinse well.
• Air dry completely before re-assembling.Wipe the powder-dispensing hole on the underside of the powder container and remove any spilt powder or milk on the machine using a dry paper towel or soft dry clean cloth.
• Replace the water in the water container daily to keep it fresh.
• To avoid waste and help you remember, only fill the water container with what you will need in a day.
• To make the daily cleaning easier, you can buy a spare Funnel and Funnel cover.
• It is also important to ensure you are descaling your machine MONTHLY.
• Remove the Water Tank, empty it and fill it with 600ml distilled vinegar and 600ml of sterile/ cooled pre-boiled water.
• Place the Water Tank on the Base of the machine and place a cup larger than 300ml under the funnel.
• Select 300ml on the “ml” button select 300ml, then press the “water only” button. Once dispensed, empty the cup, place it back under the funnel and re-press the “water only” button.
• Now unplug the machine, remove the Water Tank, and empty it. Let the machine sit for 4 hours.
• Wash, rinse and fill the Water Tank to the max line with sterile or pre-boiled cooled water and place it back on the base.
• Plug in the machine, place a cup to catch 300ml water and use the “water only” button, once dispensed, empty the cup, place it back under the funnel and re-press the “water only” button. Repeat until the low water indicator comes on.
• Refill the Water Tank with sterile or pre-boiled cooled water and return to normal us

How should I be storing my Formula Pro Advanced long-term?

• It is important to clean the machine and remove all formula powder residue before storage. If you’re going to store your Formula Pro for later use, or will not use it for a while, find the instructions below.
• Remove the powder container parts, funnel, funnel cover, drip tray and water tank from the base.
• Wipe the base with a clean damp cloth and make sure to remove all formula residue. Dry the base well.
• Empty the powder container, wash all powder container parts, air dry thoroughly, reassemble and reinstall on the base.
• Follow the monthly descaling instructions 1-7 here
• Now place a cup to catch 300ml water under the funnel, then press and hold the “water only” button for 5 seconds. Water will dispense continuously until the machine is completely empty, then stop automatically. 
• Unplug the machine, remove the funnel, funnel cover and water tank, air dry them both thoroughly and reinstall.
• Your machine is now ready for storage. Pack the machine in its box or enclose it in a bag to keep it dust-free.
